Eclipse and Baby Owls/Eagle I was all set up for the eclipse today with the big Nikon 180-600mm and a 1.4x teleconverter on a sturdy tripod and a solar filter on the front… and south-western Pennsylvania weather laughed at me. A few minutes before totality, the clouds rolled in and block all of it. 20 minutes after that, the sun was mostly back out. At least while hiking in the evening I found some wildlife to photograph. More after the break. This is what the sky looked like at totality. On the hike in the evening, I was on the way to the bald eagles nest I know is active and stumbled across another photographer whom pointed out an owl nest. Can you see them? After this, I hiked to the Bald Eagle nest and was lucky to catch the mama and newly hatched baby. Post navigation Kayaking in a flooded areaHiking and Worship
