Returning to the Nest

Last year I stumbled onto a bald eagle nest right along a biking trail that parallels a river.  During the spring I would see the couple soaring around and eventually the young eagle would show its face.  Tonight a short hike has confirmed that they are back and in the same nest again.

i made sure to keep a healthy distance between the nest and myself.  Having a 600mm lens helps with that, although having a 1.4x teleconverter would be even better.  I look forward to watching more of these two.
