Ohiopyle just before peak fall color The fall color is almost at peak down in Ohiopyle State Park. Early this morning I woke up to get to the Cascade waterfalls in the park just after sunrise and it did not disappoint. In a bid to travel light, I packed up my Leica M10 with 3 small primes, the Voigtlander 21mm f/3.5 Color Skopar, Voigtlander 35mm f/1.4 Nokton Classic II and the TTArtisan 50mm f/1.4, a magnetic filter kit that could attach to any lens and a lightweight tripod. This all fit into a small Wandrd Roam 6l sling. Hiking with such a small setup was wonderful. No neck or back pain and things were easy to access and shoot with. As the light started to shift, I left the Cascade’s and went for a walk the Jonathan Run trail to see the Upper and Lower Jonathan Run falls. Lastly for the day, I made a quick stop to Tharp Knob overlook just before noon. Not the best light at that time of day, but it sure was beautiful. I’m hoping to get out again soon.
