First Images with the new Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 lens X-T5, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 @ 1/6, f/2.8, ISO 320 Having a small standard zoom that has a bright f/2.8 aperture throughout is a very nice to have, so I ordered the newly released Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 for Fuji X mount. After a few days with it and a variety of shooting, I think it’s a great option for Fujifilm shooters. Fuji X-T5, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 @ 2.1″, f/8 ISO 400 with CPL and ND64 The weather was chilly and overcast, but it was still a good time to get out for a quick hike. Fuji X-T5, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 @ 4.3″, f/8, ISO 200 with CPL and ND64 The lens simply got out of my way. There was no issues with autofocus or anything else. I just attached a K&F magnetic filter adapter so I could easily mount a Circular Polarizer and/or various ND filters and off I went. Fuji X-T5, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 @ 1/30, f/8, ISO 125 with CPL The IBIS of the X-T5 and the close focus distance of the Sigma 18-50mm combine to let you capture small details easily. Fuji X-T5, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 @ 1/2.3, f/8, ISO 125 with CPL Fuji X-T5, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 @ 1/60, f/4, ISO 250 with CPL Fuji X-T5, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 @ 1/30, f/8, ISO 400 with CPL Fuji X-T5, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 @ 5″, f/6.4, ISO 125 with CPL and ND64 Fuji X-T5, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 @ 1/60, f/2.8, ISO 320 Overall the Sigma 18-50mm really impressed me with how versatile it is in such a small package. The only negative I have against it is that there is no aperture ring. This can be ignored given the low price of the constant f/2.8 zoom you are getting. The autofocus works well with the Fuji X-T5 and the different tracking modes all held up well. Post navigation Enter the Fujifilm X-T5Frozen hike at Ohiopyle
