Exploratory hiking at Ohiopyle Spring is finally here and the temperatures were doing a fine job of rising. Until the weekend of course, when the temps dropped over 20 degrees overnight and frosted the windshield of my car. I gathered up a backpack full of water, energy bars and camera gear and headed out anyway. Having all morning to myself, I decided to hike some trails at Ohiopyle that I haven’t been on before. It was a nice 7+ mile hike that let me scope out the trails and see if there was anything that would be bring me back later in the season for a closer look. The light was a bit harsh, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the foliage wasn’t quite blooming yet. Regardless, it was still a great time. Here are a few of the shots I managed.
